The Met Office has issued another amber weather warning for parts of the UK ahead of an expected heat spike this coming weekend and it will have a key impact on London's football clubs.
With central and southern England to be amongst the worst hit areas by temperatures that could rise to 37C on Saturday and Sunday, the Premier League has reintroduced a temporary drinks break into matches every half an hour.
Manchester City's trip to West Ham last weekend also had the same rules in place with the pitch side temperature above 30C.

The games affected for London clubs will be Arsenal's home match against Leicester City on Saturday and the early season crunch meeting between Chelsea and Tottenham at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon. Fulham are away at Wolves, Brentford host Manchester United, West Ham play Nottingham Forest at the City Ground and Crystal Palace face Liverpool on Monday night.
The league first introduced drinks breaks after the initial Covid-19 surge in summer 2020 and have been used more recently in matches since the start of the season when temperatures have risen above 30C.
As well as drinks breaks, clubs will be able to use five substitutes all season as well after the rule was passed for the start of the season for the first time since 2020.
Temperatures in London have already reached more than 30C with expected highs of up to 37C over the weekend. Parts of England had temperatures of more than 40C last month.
