Ben White has issued an update on his fitness after being forced off during Arsenal’s FA Cup win over Wigan.
The defenderon Sunday started and impressed against the Latics on a rare start, but went down with 10 minutes remaining and was unable to continue. Martin Zubimendi replaced him.
It was a second blow on a potentially damaging afternoon for Arsenal, who had earlier seen Riccardo Calafiori pull up during the warm-up to end his chances of playing.
White was spotted soon after being substituted, sitting next to his team-mates on the bench, suggesting there were no serious concerns, and then talking to Mikel Arteta after the game.
However, his manager appeared less sure about White’s fitness.
Asked for an update on the right-back, and fellow defender Calafiori, the Gunners head coach said: “Yeah, him and Ben are the only doubts. We have to wait and see in the next 48 hours how things develop.”
But White has since issued an update of his own, celebrating the win over Wigan on Instagram along with the simple message: “No injuries.”

It will be very welcome news for Arteta, who will be worried about Calafiori’s withdrawal having also seen Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz recently pick up injuries for the second time this season.
Elaborating on the mounting injury woes, Arteta said: “Before it was the strikers, then it was the defenders, now it's the midfielders.
"But we are still coping with that, but we need some players back and fit, to give us as well not only numbers but different options in relation to the opponents that we have. So the quicker the better."
