Arsenal and Real Madrid 'interested' in Serge Gnabry transfer following wages admission

Arsenal continue to be linked with a summer transfer to Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry.

The north Londoners are set for yet another busy window as technical director Edu looks to add a fullback, a central midfielder and at least one forward, with a replacement for Nicolas Pepe also expected to join if the Ivorian international does end up leaving the north Londoners in the coming months. Fans have dreamt of a return for former Gunner Gnabry, who is into the final 13 months of his contract at the Allianz Arena.

The German international left the Emirates Stadium back in the summer of 2016 but has since established himself as one of Europe's most consistent wingers and reports suggest that he could be on the move this summer if a new deal isn't agreed with the Bavarian club. Now, German transfer guru Ronan Murphy has relayed that Sky Germany have reported that Arsenal, along with Spanish giants Real Madrid, are interested in signing the 26-year-old this summer.

“It’s something that goes both ways,” the winger told a press conference ahead of Germany’s fixture with Italy this weekend. “But it’s not always about money like it’s written in the media.

“You get appreciation in a variety of ways at the club. That’s why it’s not always about the money for us players, as is usually reported.”
