Arsenal and Manchester United transfer boost as Mohammed Kudus’ agent confirms plan to leave Ajax

Ajax star Mohammed Kudus is set to become available in this summer’s transfer market after his agent revealed he has rejected the offer of a new contract.

Jennifer Mendelewitsch has gone on the record that the upcoming window is the “right time” for the Ghanaian to find a new club following his impressive form for the Dutch side and at the winter World Cup.

Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle and Liverpool have all been linked with Kudus, 22, with reports in the Netherlands naming his price tag as around the £40million mark.

“I think it is best for both Ajax and Mohammed that he leaves now,” she is quoted by De Telegraaf as saying. “Now is the right time

“He has rejected an offer to extend his contract until the summer of 2026.

“What I can say is that after the World Cup and this season there is a lot of interest in Kudus.”

Kudus’ existing contract runs for two more years.

Arsenal are understood by Standard Sport to be prioritising rebuilding their midfield this summer, with Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo eyed amid Granit Xhaka’s talks to leave for Bayer Leverkusen.

Newcastle are also expected to make a big splash following their qualification to the Champions League, while Liverpool have been linked with Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister after being put off by Jude Bellingham’s price tag.

A new striker is reportedly the priority for Manchester United, along with a winger such as Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby.
