Arsenal and Chelsea have been handed a major transfer blow after it was confirmed by Lautaro Martinez's agent that his client is happy at Inter Milan.
After Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left for Barcelona in the January transfer window and with both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah poised to leave at the end of the current campaign, Mikel Arteta is seemingly under no illusions that he'll need to bolster his frontlines.
As previously reported, the Gunners will target two centre-forwards. Gabriel Jesus and Tammy Abraham are on Edu's radar, but another name who's been consistently linked is Martinez. Chelsea have also been touted with a move for the Argentine in recent times, but whether they can sign the striker depends on when the takeover of the club is finally completed.

As things stand, the Blues are unable to sign new players as a result of the UK government's restrictions imposed on current owner, Roman Abramovich.
But even if they do agree a deal before the start of the transfer window, they may have their work cut out for Martinez anyways, as his representative, Alejandro Camano, has confirmed that he's happy in Italy.
As cited by Goal, he said: “We are not depending on a transfer, he is at Inter, he is happy, the city is wonderful.
“Sometimes the press publishes things about a transfer but Lautaro is thinking about Inter, giving the people of Inter joy, becoming champions and working for the World Cup.”
Time will only tell with this transfer, but it seems as though Martinez will remain in the Serie A - for now at least.
