Arsenal and Chelsea have been handed hope in signing Brazilian wonderkid Vitor Roque this summer after the youngster admitted he has no preference in which club he joins in the future. The youngster has had an impressive breakout year in senior football, gaining plenty of attention at Athletico Paranaense.
The 18-year-old was free scoring at the under-20s South American Championships last month, earning Brazil the trophy at the end of the tournament. That has led him to finding a place in the senior squad for the March internationals for the first time, underlining his quick rise to the top.
Any hope for the two London clubs in landing the striker looked as though they may have been dashed in February after an admission over joining Barcelona. He told Sport: "I feel ready to play for Barcelona. Look, I try to stay focused on the day-to-day and give my best at Athletico. I’m sure that if I do well here, going to Europe will be a possibility."
