Arsenal have already agreed on personal terms with Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans if recent reports are to be believed.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for Tielemans over the last year, although talk of a transfer has died down in recent times as they appear to be focusing elsewhere at this moment in time. Now, transfer guru Ben Jacobs has delivered an update on the situation, reporting that personal terms are not an issue.
“Arsenal have put in a heck of a lot of work into Tielemans,” Jacobs told GiveMeSport. "They’ve agreed personal terms, and their talks with Tielemans date back for the best part of a year.

“But for whatever reason, Arsenal have decided not to swoop just yet and actually table a bid with Leicester City. And if they do so, and agree a fee at the lowest end £25 million, at the highest end £32 million, they will get Youri Tielemans.”
This comes after Jacobs claimed that Arsenal are comfortably ahead of Manchester United in the race for the Belgian international, who is currently valued at £60 million by CIES Observatory. “He’s fully sold on a move to Arsenal, so if Manchester United were to bid for Tielemans, they will only get him if Arsenal decide that’s fine, go ahead and take the player," Jacobs also told GiveMeSport.
"It’s not really a head-to-head. I think that Manchester United’s potential interest in Tielemans, which is still to be stood up, could just catalyse Arsenal to make another bid or may have Arsenal say ‘I’m sorry, but we’re not interested. Go ahead and join Manchester United if you want’.
“But I don’t think that Manchester United can beat Arsenal to Tielemans. It’s not a case of decide between the two.”
