Arnold Schwarzenegger has been involved in a car accident which saw him flip his own vehicle after colliding with one car, and his vehicle then landing on another.
The 74-year-old Hollywood legend is said to “okay” following the incident, but a female driver has been taken to hospital following the incident.
Arnold was driving half-a-mile from his home in the Brentwood neighbourhood of Los Angeles, while the accident is reported to have taken place in the late afternoon.
The actor and former California governor was driving a GMC Yukon SUV which crashed into a Toyota Prius while he was turning left – flipping his four-wheel drive car which then rolled and smashed into a Porsche.
TMZ reports: “One eyewitness says it was crazy ... it looked like a stunt in a movie. The collision was intense enough that the airbags deployed on the Yukon.”
The accident is also described as “bad” by the news outlet, while photos from the scene show the SUV wedged between a red and a white car while partially on its side.
Arnold himself was photographed at the scene of the incident and is said to be “deeply concerned” about the condition of the woman who was injured in the accident.
TMZ claims a source close to the star saying that Arnold “wants to personally check up on her” at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the MailOnline reports: “Law enforcement say they believe the accident was the fault of the Terminator actor who was attempting to make a left turn but did not wait for a left-turn arrow at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Allenford Avenue.”
They added: “Police said no arrest has been made and the crash does not appear to involve any form of DUI.”
It is also reported by the Mail that Jake Steinfeld was at the scene of the incident – with the 63-year-old fitness expert believed to have been in Arnold’s car during the accident.
Meanwhile, ABC7 News has provided further details of the incident, writing: “Los Angeles police said a wreck involving four cars occurred around 4:15 p.m. on Sunset Boulevard and Allenford Avenue.
“It's unclear if Schwarzenegger was driving or if he was a passenger in a vehicle at the time of the crash.
Police said the actor and former California governor was not injured.
“Police said no arrest has been made and the crash does not appear to involve any form of DUI.”
Their report concludes that the SUV and Prius have since been “towed away” following the accident.
