In Arnold, people said they were pleased to hear the centre will be back open soon. Kelly Dale, 35 has fond memories of Tumble Town.

She said: “I have a little sister who’s 23 and she was forever being invited to birthday parties at Tumble Town that I had to take her to, it’s been open for years so although staff must have been gutted when it got flooded it’s nice for both them and the community to have the place back because it’s been there for a very long time.”

Kelly, who grew up in Arnold now lives in Sherwood, the care worker went on to say: “I’m sure the place will pick up where it left off, it has always been really popular.”

Tumble Town has been keeping their customers up to date with regular Facebook posts about the progress of the building. On Facebook, their page has over 3,000 likes.

John Gregory, 43 lives in Arnold. John, who works in construction said: “It’s a lifesaver for many parents places like this. Those days are over for me but you can spend hours in places like these and the kids really do have fun. It’s good to hear that it’ll be back up and running soon.”

Alice Keaton, 23, who lives in Arnold and has a two year old daughter, said: “I remember going to Tumble Town when I was younger but I’ve never taken my daughter. I’m sure from closing because of Covid then the floods there are many Covid babies that have never been there before.

“Now I know it’s opening, it’s worth suggesting it to my mum friends for birthday parties and days out.”
