Liverpool manager Arne Slot withdrew from the League Managers Association’s (LMA) annual awards ceremony to show his support for those affected by the awful incident that took place during the club’s Premier League title parade.
The Dutchman was named both LMA Manager of the Year and Barclays Premier League Manager of the Year in recognition of a stellar debut campaign in English football in which he delivered only Liverpool’s second title of the Premier League era and first since 2019/20 after leaving Feyenoord to succeed Jurgen Klopp last summer.
