An army chaplain has embraced and forgiven a teenager who stabbed him seven times with a hunting knife in an attempted murder last year.
Fr Paul Murphy was stabbed seven times in the attack, which occurred at Renmore Barracks in Galway on August 15. The priest was attacked by the boy, who was 16 at the time but is now 17, as Fr Murphy was driving into the barracks around 10:35pm.
