Armie Hammer will only have to pay $1,500 a month in child support to estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers in their divorce settlement.
Details of the agreement reveal the couple will share joint legal and physical custody of their two children, 8-year-old Harper Grace and 6-year-old Ford. Both parties agreed to waive spousal support.
According to TMZ, the embattled actor does not currently have an income — which may have factored into the low figure. He is, however, a namesake descendant of oil tycoon Armand Hammer, who reportedly boasted a net worth of $200 million when he died in 1990 at age 92.
The former couple’s divorce decree comes nearly three years after Chambers’ initial filing and a mountain of controversy surrounding the “Call Me By Your Name” star.
After 10 years of marriage, Chambers cited irreconcilable differences and was initially seeking primary physical custody of their two children. Meanwhile, Hammer sought joint legal and physical custody.
In December 2021, Hammer checked out of a Florida treatment facility, where he spent half of the year seeking treatment for drug, alcohol and sex issues amid two women going public with accusations involving cannibalism and rape.
Hammer, 36, denied the accusations from both women and stepped down from two projects — “Shotgun Wedding” starring Jennifer Lopez, and “The Offer,” about the making of “The Godfather.”
After a two-year investigation, the L.A. District Attorney’s Office decided in May that it would not charge Hammer for rape, ruling the case was too murky given the “complexity of the relationship” between Hammer and one of his accusers, Effie Angelova.
