A teenager was taken to hospital with a 'laceration wound' after an incident on a Cardiff street. Armed police were deployed along with local police officers to Wilson Road in the Ely area of Cardiff.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident and a 16-year-old boy was taken to the University Hospital of Wales, South Wales Police has said. Investigations into the incident continue.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "At around 3.55pm yesterday (Jan 19) officers were called to reports of an altercation taking place on Wilson Road in Ely, Cardiff. A 15-year-old local boy was arrested on suspicion of assault and was taken to Cardiff Bay police station. A 16-year-old local boy was taken to the University Hospital of Wales where he was treated for a laceration wound. Armed officers were deployed alongside local police officers as a precaution.
