'Armed cops' swoop on Fife street amid 'ongoing incident'

Armed cops have reportedly swooped on a Scots street amid an ongoing incident.

Emergency services were scrambled to Larach Court in Kirkcaldy on the evening of Monday April 18.

At least ten police vehicles were seen at the scene in Fife tonight as the drama unfolded.

Pictures posted by Fife Jammers show a number of units at the street, with armed officers believed to be in attendance.

It's not yet known if anyone has been injured or what sparked the emergency response.

It's understood the incident is ongoing with the street locked down.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Police are responding to an ongoing incident in the Kirkcaldy area. It is being contained by officers and we would like to reassure the community that there is no wider risk to the public."
