Arman Tsarukyan Trolls Islam Makhachev Ahead Of UFC 311 Fight

UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan has trolled Islam Makhachev ahead of their UFC 311 rematch fight for the lightweight belt. Tsarukyan has brough in Adriano Martins for sparring ahead of their rematch, with Martins the only man to knock Makhachev out in his career.

Arman Tsarukyan Trolls Islam Makhachev Ahead Of UFC 311

Ahead of their UFC Lightweight Title fight at UFC 311, Arman Tsarukyan has taken to social media, seemingly trolling Islam Makhachev.

Makhachev beat Tsarukyan back in 2019 in their first fight via decision, with the rematch now set for January 18 at the Intuit Dome in California, headlining this bumper UFC 311 pay-per-view card.

With the rematch around a month away, Arman Tsarukyan has introduced a new training partner, whilst trying to get in the head of Islam Makhachev in the process.

Makhachev, who is now the #1 pound-for-pound UFC fighter in the world, has one defeat on his MMA resumé. That sole loss came in just his second UFC fight against Adrian Martins, who knocked the Russian MMA star out inside one round at UFC 192.

Now, the #1 lightweight contender and 155-pound title challenger has brought Martins in for sparring ahead of their UFC 311 main event rematch. Tsarukyan took to social media posting photos of he and Martins in the gym, with the Brazilian former UFC-star commenting under Tsarukyan’s post in Portuguese saying, “Lions walk with lions.”

Is Tsarukyan Playing Mind Games With Makhachev?

With Arman Tsarukyan bring Adrian Martins into his training camp for sparring, he is evidently trying to get inside the head of the dominant 155-pound champion.

Perhaps Tsarukyan feels playing mind games and tricks with the P4P king will work in his favour. Time will tell whether or not it works or not, with fight night not too far away at the Intuit Dome in California on January 18.

UFC President Dana White is serving up a mouth-watering card, headlined by this incredible Makhachev vs Tsarukyan rematch. Going into the fight, the reigning champion is the favourite with the best UFC betting sites, with Tsarukyan a slight outsider.

Martins, who no longer competes in the UFC, didn’t win another fight until March of this year, making nine years without having his hand raised. However, he can still dine out on the fact that he is currently the only man to have beaten Islam Makhachev inside the octagon.

It remains to be seen whether or not Tsarukyan’s tactics will indeed get inside the head of Makhachev or not, but he is certainly trying. Could the introduction of Adrian Martins into his camp really play tricks inside the 155-pound champion’s head? Time will tell!
