Armagh and Donegal will renew their rivalry this weekend after being paired against each other in Monday morning’s round two All-Ireland SFC Qualifier draw.
The sides have already met twice this season, once in a feisty League encounter in Letterkenny before their Ulster SFC quarter-final meeting in Ballybofey.
Donegal emerged victorious in both games, winning the Championship meeting 1-16 to 0-12 with Paddy McBrearty scoring the game’s only goal.

However, the Orchard County claimed a stunning 1-16 to 1-10 victory over last year’s All-Ireland champions Tyrone in the Athletic Grounds on Sunday and will go into this weekend’s rematch full of confidence.
The Red Hands got off to the perfect start with a goal from Conor McKenna after three minutes, but Aidan Nugent found the net for the home side with Armagh leading by one at the break.
Tyrone lost Richie Donnelly for 10 minutes following a black card at the beginning of the second half as Armagh pulled clear with some excellent scores from Stefan Campbell, Andrew Murnin and goalkeeper Ethan Rafferty, who posted two from play.
Donegal defeated Kieran McGeeney’s men in the Ulster SFC quarter-final before seeing off the challenge of Cavan in the semi-final in Clones.
However, Declan Bonner’s side were beaten by Derry in the Ulster Final, but are still only one game away from the All-Ireland quarter-finals.
Mayo, who have been drawn against Kildare in round two, will also be hopeful of another extended Championship run after their workmanlike victory over Monaghan in Castlebar on Saturday evening.
Cillian O’Connor’s penalty helped James Horan’s men claim a 1-13 to 0-12 win while Clare defeated Meath in Ennis with Cork beating Louth in Saturday’s remaining round one clash.
Beaten Connacht finalists will take on Clare this weekend with Limerick facing Cork in an all-Munster clash.
The times, dates and venues will be confirmed by the GAA’s Central Competitions Control Committee later this afternoon with the round two Qualifiers set to take place at neutral venues.
Meanwhile, Cavan will face Sligo in the semi-final of the Tailteann Cup following their quarter-final win over Fermanagh on Sunday.
