Armagh misses out on final UK City of Culture 2025 shortlist

The bid to make Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon the next UK City of Culture for 2025 has ended before the final hurdle.

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport announced on Friday that the ABC25 bid had not made it through to the final stage.

Commenting on the announcement the Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough, Alderman Glenn Barr said: "Although we are disappointed this morning, we are thrilled to have been part of this exciting journey.
