Armagh Banbridge and Craigavon Council to look at dog fouling fine increase

A Northern Ireland council is looking at increasing fines for dog fouling to £200.

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council’s environmental services committee heard certain parts of the borough are dog fouling “hotspots”.

The issue was raised at a meeting of the committee on Tuesday, February 7 by Councillor Keith Haughian who asked if officers had looked at increasing fines. The current Fixed Penalty Notice fine for dog fouling is £80.
