Shoppers are rushing to Argos after finding out about a product that could help them to save money on their heating bill this winter.
As energy costs skyrocket, people across the UK have been looking for cheaper ways to stay warm as the cold weather arrives. And it seems a £25 electric blanket from the high-street retailer is proving to be a great way of saving energy.
The budget blanket has racked up hundreds of five-star reviews and has been praised by people struggling to stay warm, Manchester Evening News reports.

The energy-efficient blanket claims to cost from 1p a night to run, meaning shoppers could potentially save hundreds on their energy bills by using it instead of turning the heating on. Made from soft material, the blanket boasts three heat settings, and even features overheat protection for total peace of mind.
However, experts do recommend turning off the appliance before falling asleep to regulate your core temperature.
The machine washable blanket comes in two sizes; small single (£20) and small double (£25), and easily fits onto your mattress thanks to its handy corner straps. The blanket also comes with a two-year manufacturer's guarantee, so if it breaks within that time, you'll be covered.
The bestselling blanket has received over 100 five-star reviews on Argos alone.
One shopper said the Argos blanket is an "excellent alternative to putting the heating on," in their online review and added: "I'm really glad I purchased this because I'll never have to get in bed and feel cold sheets again."
They continued: "On the lowest setting it just takes the chill off and makes you feel nice and cosy. It doesn't cover the entire surface of the bed and I would like it to be slightly longer so that the control was higher up and fully under the pillow, but it is on the side so I don't lie on it. The straps mean that it fits securely to the bed under the sheet and there is no movement."
A second shopper wrote: "So glad I’ve got this blanket! Used it a couple of times and even in the lowest setting, it keeps me warm! Worth spending a couple of extra pounds on a decent blanket, especially for when colder weather is back."
While a third said: "Had a cheeky test out the other night! Glorious! Will be a lifesaver if we have a chilly winter!"
