The closing date of huge retailer in Ayrshire has been confirmed.
Argos staff were told in February this year that the Kilmarnock store would be closing for good.
Argos bosses remained tight-lipped as to when the Burns Mall unit would finally shut up shop but did say that staff would be offered "opportunities to redeploy to alternative roles within Sainsbury’s".
However, signs in the window of the famous catalogue retailer state that this weekend will mark the final days of trading.
According to the poster in the window of the store, the shop will close on Saturday, May 28.
The sign points out that the nearest Argos is now more than eight miles away in the Irvine branch of Sainsbury's. This isn't actually true; the Argos collection point in Stewarton Sainsbury's is closer (5.5miles).
It's understood that standalone Argos stores are being reduced to make way for more collection points within Sainsbury's stores.
Councillor Jon Herd said in February: "The loss of Argos will be a major blow to the staff, the customers and the town centre as a whole."
