Argentina face France in today’s World Cup final.

Not since 1986 and the days of Diego Maradona have the South Americans lifted the World Cup trophy, although this will be their third final since then.

Lionel Messi will be out to end that long wait in what is his last-ever game in the competition as he nears the end of a legendary career, in search of that one remaining, ellusive winners’ medal.

France are reigning champions having lifted the World Cup four years ago in Russia and they have the fearsome Kylian Mbappe leading their line.

Where to watch Argentina vs France

TV channel: In the UK, today’s World Cup final will be televised free-to-air and live on both BBC One and ITV1. Coverage on ITV starts at 1.30pm before the BBC programme begins at 1.50pm, with kick-off at 3pm GMT.

Live stream: Fans can also catch the game live online via the BBC iPlayer and ITVX.
