Defending champions Argentina will face Egypt in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 16 at Atlanta Stadium in Georgia on Tuesday, July 7. Having won all their matches so far, Lionel Scaloni's side enter the knockout clash as favourites and will look to extend their unbeaten run as they continue their title defence.
Egypt have emerged as one of the tournament's surprise packages. Mohamed Salah's team reached the knockout stage after draws against Iran and Belgium, followed by a convincing victory over New Zealand. They then defeated Australia on penalties in the Round of 32 to set up a meeting with Argentina.
