
UK banking customers are collectively withdrawing about £100 million less from ATMs every day typically, compared with before the coronavirus pandemic, according to analysis by cash machine network Link.
In 2019, £116 billion was withdrawn from the network’s ATMs but, by last year, this had fallen by 31%, with about £80 billion withdrawn in 2024.
