Dating in the modern age is a minefield, as we are consistently reminded. When you’re not being ghosted you’re being zombied, or perhaps orbited, or maybe even kittenfished? Either way, it can be bleak out there in the purgatory of modern courting.
Which brings us to “haunting”, not a new dating trend by any means, but one that is on the up. Haunting is not, as the name suggests, something out of an Edgar Allen Poe novel, it refers to the behaviour when someone you have been ghosted by continues to “haunt” you or keep tabs on you via social media, without directly making contact.
