Are Wall Street Analysts Predicting Palo Alto Networks Stock Will Climb or Sink?

Moreover, shares of the company are up nearly 98% on a YTD basis, compared to SPX’s 13.2% gain.

Zooming in further, PANW’s outperformance becomes more evident when compared to the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund’s (XLK) 42.4% gain over the past 52 weeks.

Palo Alto Networks reported Q3 2026 results on Jun. 2, with revenue of $3 billion, up 31% year-over-year and above analysts' estimate, reflecting continued strength across its cloud, identity, network, and AI security offerings. The company also raised its fiscal 2026 revenue guidance to $11.42 billion - $11.43 billion and increased its adjusted EPS forecast to $3.77 - $3.79, driven by strong demand for its AI-driven cybersecurity solutions. Additionally, management highlighted AI as a key growth driver, noting that rising AI-driven cyber threats are accelerating enterprise cybersecurity spending and boosting demand for its integrated security platform.

For the fiscal year, which ended in July 2026, analysts expect PANW’s EPS to grow 23.2% year-over-year to $2.02. The company’s earnings surprise history is promising. It beat the consensus estimates in two of the last four quarters while missing on two other occasions.

Among the 47 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a “Strong Buy.” That’s based on 33 “Strong Buy” ratings, two “Moderate Buys,” and 12 Holds.”

This configuration is slightly more bullish than three months ago, with 40 “Strong Buy” ratings on the stock.

On Aug. 5, Barclays raised its price target on Palo Alto Networks to $370 while maintaining an “Overweight” rating.
