While there might still be a mathematical path to winning the Eastern Conference’s top seed within the realm of possibility, for all intents and purposes, the Boston Celtics are out of the running to have homecourt advantage all the way through the 2023 NBA Playoffs.
Does this mean the Celtics are about to take their foot off of the gas for the rest of their 2022-23 campaign? Or does Boston still need to bank a win or two in order to avoid slipping down to the third seed with the Sixers evidently pushing hard to close out the regular season?
