Arctic Monkeys 2023 tickets, tour dates confirmed

Arctic Monkeys delighted fans at the end of last month when they announced their new album 'The Car' and they have now confirmed a 2023 tour.

The band will be touring the UK in 2023 with massive shows in Manchester's Emirates Old Trafford, Bristol, Coventry, London's Emirates Stadium and two homecoming shows in Sheffield's Hillsborough Stadium.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale on Friday 30 September here on Ticketmaster at 9am. A fan pre sale will take place on 29 September.

The English rock band also unveiled debut single 'There'd Better Be A Mirrorball' from their album which is set for release on Friday, October 21. Their seventh studio album, ‘The Car’ features ten new songs written by Alex Turner and produced by James Ford. Following 2018’s ‘Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino’, ‘The Car’ finds Arctic Monkeys running wild in a new and sumptuous musical landscape and contains some of the richest and most rewarding vocal performances of Alex Turner’s career.

Formed in Sheffield, West Yorkshire, Arctic Monkeys consists of Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Nick O'Malley, and Matt Helders, and have a loyal fan base since beginning in 2002.

When did Arctic Monkeys last tour in the UK?

Arctic Monkeys last embarked on a UK tour back in 2018 for their Tranquillity Base Hotel and Casino Tour. The tour was in support of the band's sixth studio album and began in May 2018 in San Diego in the US and ended in Columbia in April, 2019.

As part of this tour Arctic Monkeys played in the UK with performances in Manchester, London, Birmingham, Sheffield and Dublin, Ireland. The tour was a huge success and marked their first since their AM tour in 2013/2014.

What UK festivals have Arctic Monkeys played at?

Their last festival came only recently at the Reading and Leeds 2022 festival. The band have played that festival twice before their last appearance, topping the bill in 2009 and 2014. Alex Turner and co treated fans to a selection of bangers during their festival set, kicking off with Do I Wanna Know? and playing the likes of Brianstorm, Teddy Picker, Pretty Visitors, Cornerstone, I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor, 505, and R U Mine?

Arctic Monkeys have also headlined Glastonbury Festival as well as performing at their own 'mini' festival at Old Trafford Cricket Ground.

Arctic Monkeys have launched ‘There’d Better Be A Mirrorball’, the first track from their forthcoming new album, ‘The Car’ which is set for release on Friday 21 st October. The deluxe LP will be available on limited grey vinyl with a tip on sleeve and mounted gloss cover image via the AM Official Store and Domino Mart. An exclusive, custard coloured LP will be available at independent record shops and HMV stores. ‘The Car’ will also be available on standard LP, CD, cassette and digitally.
