
A student at a Scottish university is leading a project to ensure work produced by Afghanistan’s female artists can continue to be shared with the world amid efforts from the country’s rulers to suppress them.
Mahtab Karami, who attends the University of Dundee’s Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, is creating a digital archive of artwork created by women over the last 20 years so it can always be viewed no matter what happens to the physical pieces.
