Church breaks silence on stadium talks, says it wants Canberra to flourish

Canberra's Catholic archdiocese says talks about the possible sale of lakeside church land for the construction of a stadium are at an early stage, but it is always willing to be involved in discussions about the future of the city.

The Canberra Times revealed on Wednesday, October 7, that a consortium was in discussions with the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn about the possible purchase of One Regatta Place, site of Archbishop Christopher Prowse's former residence.
