Archaeologists discover 6000-year-old remains of 'oldest person' from Scottish city

The remains could be the oldest human remains found in Stirling (Image: Dr Murray Cook)

ARCHAEOLOGISTS have discovered the shattered remains of a 6000-year-old human that could be the oldest person from Stirling - with experts believing they could belong to one of Scotland’s first-ever farmers.

Dr Murray Cook made the discovery as part of his annual work at an ancient burial cairn at Gallow Hill, on the eastern edge of the Argaty estate, that was first discovered in 1990.
