The Aramco Team Series presented by PIF returns to London for the fourth year and a host of some of the women's game's biggest names are returning to the beautiful Centurion Club for the innovative team event.
Tickets are on sale now for the family friendly event where you can watch some of the sport's biggest names in a unique, one-of-a-kind format.
World No.1 Nelly Korda headlines the field in what will be the six-time winner in 2024's first and only start in England this year. Nelly is defending champion after her 11-under-par score beat home favourite Charley Hull by four last year.
Korda won her second Major title earlier in the year in an incredible run of five consecutive LPGA victories and will arrive in London as the tournament favorite to defend her crown.
"Winning in London last year was definitely one of the highlights of 2023 for me, I played some really solid golf across the weekend, which showed me that my game was in a good place," she said of her upcoming appearance.
“I am very proud of the hard work I have put in the past year and it is nice to see some of the results paying off. I am always looking to improve and focus on my next event and I am excited to be coming back to the Aramco Team Series in London."
Hull, the World No.9 who has finished 2nd in both Aramco Team Series events so far this year, is back again alongside former Women's British Open champion Georgia Hall, Major winner Patty Tavatanakit and US Solheim Cup stars Alison Lee and Angel Yin.
“To have the Aramco Team Series at home is the best way to open the intense summer ahead," Charley Hull said.
"Playing in a field with some of the players I’ll face in Paris [Olympics 2024], and at a tournament like this that has that Major-like feel, will be a great dress rehearsal for me to aim for that gold medal.”
“The Aramco Team Series in London will be my first appearance in the event this year and I’m buzzing to get back into playing with a team which will hopefully be a great transition to the Solheim Cup in September," Georgia Hall said.
“Competing against Charley as a team captain again, so close to home, will add an extra layer of excitement, especially with friends and family cheering us on. I’ve played my fair share of Majors and outside of those, the Aramco Team Series matches the energy and field the best. It’s always a great competition with the top players out there.”
A huge $1m prize fund is up for grabs over the three days from Wednesday 3rd July to Friday 5th July 2024, where a team and individual event will run concurrently. The team event takes place over the first 36 holes in a four ball format, while the individual title is based on all 54 holes, concluding in the thrilling final round.
Each team of four is made up of a captain, two other pros - one captain's pick and one selected at a unique draft event - as well as an amateur golfer, which makes the Aramco Team Series the only event in world golf where an amateur contributes to the final result in the main team competition. Prize money for the winning team is split between its three professional members from the $500,000 total team purse pool.
The individual aspect of the Aramco Team Series presented by PIF can be career-changing, with a total purse of $500,000 on offer and Rolex Rankings and Solheim Cup ranking points up for grabs. It is also part of the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit.
The Aramco Team Series events are some of the most lucrative on the LET and are both unique and historic, epitomizing Aramco’s status as one of the most committed investors in female golf today.
The investment by Aramco as the headline sponsor makes them one of the biggest backers of the women’s game in Europe. We've already seen two this year in Tampa and Korea, with three more to come in London, Asia and Riyadh.
The five Aramco Team Series events are a significant step forward for women’s sports and follow the hugely successful Aramco Saudi Ladies International presented by PIF and Saudi Ladies Team International.
Away from the world class golf on show at the Centurion Club, there will also be an action-packed Aramco Energy Zone to experience fun for the whole family as well a food and drinks available. Tickets start from as little as £5 with children under the age of 16 going FREE.
