ARAM Mayhem to stay in League of Legends with ‘no end date in mind’

Since its release, ARAM Mayhem quickly became one of the most popular casual modes in League of Legends, and to build on that success, Riot Games is keeping it around for a little longer.

In the dev update on March 2, Riot stated that ARAM Mayhem is staying in League of Legends for longer, with no specific end date in mind at the moment. The developer aims to support the mode and keep adding new things as long as the fan base is interested. More details regarding ARAM Mayhem plans will be coming in a future dev update.

ARAM Mayhem was first introduced to League of Legends in October and is a modified version of traditional ARAM. The main difference is the introduction of Augments, modifiers that you can choose at the beginning and throughout the match. These Augments come in different tiers, ofering powerful stat bonuses to your champion and even new abilities.

The mode quickly became a top casual mode for many players, with some saying it’s the most fun they’ve had playing League in a while. ARAM Mayhem is chaotic but controlled, with tons of replayability thanks to Augments.

In Patch 26.3, ARAM Mayhem received a major update, introducing Augment Sets, over 40 new Augments (some of which had to be nerfed in 26.4), and a new progression track, featuring emotes, icons, and other rewards.

In the same dev update, Riot also shared more details about how some of the season changes have landed, current rank distribution, and how the studio approached the upcoming Shyvana rework.
