Arabica Coffee Closes Lower on Forecasts for Rain in Brazil

March arabica coffee (KCH24) on Friday closed down -4.05 (-2.20%), and Mar ICE robusta coffee (RMH24) closed up +1 (+0.03%).

Coffee prices on Friday settled mixed, with arabica falling to a 1-month low.   Forecasts for rain in Brazil next week eased concern about dry conditions and sparked some long liquidation pressure in coffee futures.  Robusta coffee Friday recovered its losses and closed slightly higher after ICE-monitored robusta coffee inventories fell to a record low.
