Aprilia recently launched the SR GT 200, a premium scooter with racing DNA, at a special event held at Lumpini Boxing Stadium.
The SR GT 200 signals a strong comeback into the market by the Italian superbike brand. The new model comes with high-performance features and the latest i-Get engine, which is exclusive to the Piaggio Group.
The SR GT 200 is available in two variants, standard and sport, priced at 143,900 baht and 148,900 baht respectively. Prices are "on road" which includes VAT, registration and one year of insurance.
Bikes feature a sleek design and sporty lines in patterns inspired by Aprilia racing bikes.
They are powered by the new i-Get 200 engine, making it the most powerful luxury scooter available in the market. With a new aluminium cylinder coated with Nickasil, the scooter delivers maximum power of 13kW at 8,500rpm and maximum torque of 16.5Nm at 7,000rpm.
There's a new RISS (Regulator Inverter Start & Stop System) that lessens motor noise while starting and automatically shuts down the engine when the scooter is stationary, helping reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
The 9 litre fuel tank is positioned in the lower centre of the bike for ease of refuelling. SHOWA shock absorbers feature a wider diameter and more shock travel than other vehicles in the same class; it also comes with a front and rear weight support system to improve driving comfort and control.
The Aprilia SR GT 200's large front disc brakes, ABS and rear disc brakes along with Michelin Anakee tyres are designed for city roads as well as off-road routes, providing grip on both wet and dry surfaces.
