Apprentice winner Alana Spencer is closing her Llandudno cafe after taking over the site in 2021. The baker from Aberystwyth won the BBC One entrepreneur show in 2016 and received a £250,000 investment from Alan Sugar for her business, Ridiculously Rich by Alana.
Alana opened her first cafe in Aberystwyth in 2020, serving brownies, sweet and savoury treats. She then expanded with a branch in Llandudno - taking on the kiosk by the Craig-y-Don paddling pool - and a few other locations across Wales too.
North Wales Live reports that the Llandudno cafe had been closed over winter and she has now confirmed that, "unfortunately", she has had to shut her cafe for good. It has been confirmed that the tenancy with Conwy council - which owns the site - has come to an end.

However, the tenancy will now go to Darren Randle, who runs the successful Coast cafe in Rhos-on-Sea, according to Colin Flannigan, who runs St David's Commercial. More details about his plans for the site are due to be released shortly.
A Conwy council spokesperson said: "We’re pleased to welcome our new tenants, and wish them a very busy and successful summer.”
