An apprentice company that rents a room at UA92, the university academy co-founded by members of Manchester United's Class of 92, has been rated as "inadequate" by inspectors.

Chester-headquartered Code Nation also operates out of UA92's site in Manchester and is an independent business.

Ex-United players Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Phil Neville and Nicky Butt set up UA92 with Lancaster University while Code Nation provides training for people in the digital sector and has had a contract to deliver apprenticeships since October 2018.
