Apple Maps has launched a detailed Austin upgrade in time for the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas, while Apple TV subscribers can watch every F1 race this year at no extra charge. The new Apple Maps experience adds 3D landmarks, sharper navigation and race-day information for fans heading to Texas.
Apple has been extending its Detailed City Experience to more cities and major sporting venues. It previously introduced similar F1-focused mapping for Monaco and Melbourne's Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit, and the Austin rollout follows that pattern ahead of next week's race.
