This innovative feature, known as Vehicle Motion Cues, is designed to address the sensory conflict that often leads to discomfort when using an iPhone or iPad while in a moving vehicle.
Research indicates that motion sickness can be triggered by the disparity between what a person sees and what they feel, particularly when in motion. To mitigate this issue, Apple has introduced animated dots that appear on the screen edges to reflect changes in vehicle motion. These dots move in response to the direction and speed of the vehicle, providing visual cues that align with the physical sensations experienced by passengers.
