Apple confirms 'biggest and most exciting' event yet with major updates coming to your iPhone, iPad and MacBook

There's some exciting news on the horizon for Apple fans with the company confirming that its 'biggest and most exciting' conference yet is just months away.

The firm's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), takes place every year and offers gadget owners a chance to see what free software upgrades will be arriving on their devices.

WWDC almost always offers first looks at the next versions of iOS for iPhone, macOS for Apple's laptops and watchOS which will bring all-new features to the Apple Watch range.

During the showcase, taking place in June, the US tech giant will reveal what it has planned for the year ahead but that's not all.

The global event almost always throws up a few surprises with Apple using last year's WWDC to reveal its stunning new MacBook Air.

However, 2023 could be even bigger with rumours rife that a new VR headset will be shown to the crowd that gathers at the Apple Park HQ.

These gadget googles could mix virtual and physical worlds together allowing users to overlay data and graphics on top of what they are viewing in real life.

“WWDC is one of our favourite times of the year at Apple because it’s an opportunity to connect both online and in person with the talented developers from around the globe who make this community so extraordinary,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. “WWDC23 is going to be our biggest and most exciting yet, and we can’t wait to see many of you online and in person at this very special event!”

We'll have to wait and see exactly what will be revealed but if you want to be the first to find out then pop June 5, 2023 in your diary as that's when WWDC kicks off.
