Apple, Amazon And Some Other Big Stocks Recording Gains On Friday

  • AMTD Digital Inc. (NYSE:HKD) gained 27.8% to $230.00 on continued post-IPO volatility.
  • SAI.TECH Global Corporation (NASDAQ:SAI) surged 26.9% to $6.84.
  • ToughBuilt Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ:TBLT) gained 22.4% to $7.18. The company entered into an agreement with Ace Hardware USA to sell 35 products across 5,500 stores.
  • AXT, Inc. (NASDAQ:AXTI) shares gained 21.7% to $8.55 after the company reported better-than-expected Q2 EPS.
  • U.S. Silica Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:SLCA) climbed 21.7% to $14.89 after the company reported better-than-expected Q2 EPS and sales results.

  • Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) rose 12.2% to $137.20 after the company reported better-than-expected results for its second quarter. The company said it expects-third quarter net sales to be in a range of $125 billion to $130 billion, up 13% to 17% year-over-year.
  • Five9, Inc. (NASDAQ:FIVN) gained 12.2% to $110.42 after the company reported better-than-expected Q2 results and issued strong guidance.
  • First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR) rose 10% to $97.36 after the company reported better-than-expected Q2 sales results and raised its FY22 sales guidance above analyst estimates.

  • W.W. Grainger, Inc. (NYSE:GWW) jumped 5.8% to $531.16 after the company reported better-than-expected Q2 EPS and sales results and raised FY22 sales guidance above estimates.
  • United States Steel Corporation (NYSE:X) rose 5.5% to $22.91 after the company reported better-than-expected Q2 sales and announced a $500 million buyback.
