An appeal has been launched to trace "mindless" vandals who went on a graffiti spree on the Sunderland coast.
Sunderland City Council has launched an appeal after eyesore graffiti was sprayed on buildings, bins, and street furniture along the seafront at Seaburn over the weekend.
Deputy Leader of Sunderland City Council, Councillor Claire Rowntree, said the graffiti will cost potentially thousands of pounds to clean up and said those responsible "should be ashamed".
