An 18 year old man was stabbed multiple times after a gang stormed a house in Cork city on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred on John Redmond Street at approximately 9pm.
The man was rushed to Cork University Hospital to be treated for his injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening.
It is believed the man was not a resident of the house where the horrific attack occurred but the teen was targeted by the gang, CorkBeo reports.
The person who lives in the home is understood to have been away at the time.
The teen was looking after the tenant’s dogs when the house was stormed.
The alarm was raised and he was soon rushed to CUH where he's currently receiving treatment.
No arrests have been made and Gardai are appealing to anyone who has any information to come forward.
A spokesperson said, " Shortly before 9pm Gardaí and Emergency Services were alerted to an incident in an apartment building on John Redmond Street, Cork."

Two dogs went missing after the incident. One was found by a neighbour by Shandon church and was taken back to the neighbours home to be looked after until the owner returns.
However, a puppy is still missing. It is not clear if the puppy ran away in fear or was taken by the gang involved in the incident.
The tenant, who has no involvement in the dispute, has now made an appeal to try and get her back.
Anyone with information on either the attack or the whereabouts of the dog is asked to contact gardai in Mayfield.
