Appeal for information as Renfrewshire schoolboy, 13, goes missing

Police are seeking the help of the public in locating a missing teenager who disappeared in Renfrewshire earlier this week.

Keir McBride, 13, was last seen near Williamson Place, Johnstone, on the morning of Wednesday, November 30.

Officers say Keir was also spotted in Paisley town centre later that evening and the following day he was reportedly near Johnstone High School.

He may be in the company of another male youth, police added.

They describe Keir as being 5ft 3in tall, of slim build with light brown hair and blue eyes.

At the time of his disappearance, it is believed he was wearing blue Lacoste tracksuit bottoms and a black puffer jacket.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Anyone who may have seen Keir or who has information which could be relevant is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 1846 of Wednesday, 30 November.”
