Anyone in SNP who joins Lords should be expelled from party, says ex-MP

ANYONE in the SNP who accepts a seat in the House of Lords should be kicked out of the party, according to a former MP.

Martin Docherty-Hughes, who represented West Dunbartonshire at Westminster for almost a decade until 2024, said joining the unelected upper chamber would be “contrary to the foundations of the SNP”.
