Antony's agent responds to Manchester United exit rumours: 'Our plan is clear'

Manchester United winger Antony is determined to stay at Old Trafford and fight for his place, according to his agent.

Reports suggest the Brazilian will be allowed to leave on loan this summer if a club is willing to pay his £70,000-a-week wages.

However, Junior Pedroso has commented that any departure from Manchester is not on the player’s agenda.

“I see reports about a potential exit on loan,” he told transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.

“Antony’s plan is clear: Manchester United.

“He wants to stay, he’s only focused on Man United. We already spoke about that with the club.”

Antony has failed to live up to his £86million transfer fee and has scored just 11 goals in two years at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag is not expected to sign any wingers this summer but competition is already high for his place in the team, with Jadon Sancho back from a loan spell and Amad Diallo pushing for more regular involvement.

United have not included Antony in either of their pre-season games so far due to a minor injury issue.

Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro have already arrived to reinforce the squad up front and in defence, with talks over Bayern Munich centre-back Matthijs de Ligt reportedly continuing. A defensive midfielder is also said to be a target with Manuel Ugarte and Martin Zubimendi linked.
