Antonio Rudiger issues clear instruction to Chelsea after what happened on Wednesday night

Antonio Rudiger has said that Chelsea must improve for their coming games after scraping past Luton Town in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Wednesday night.

The Championship twice led twice thanks to goals from Reece Burke and Harry Cornick either side of a neat Saul Niguez finish.

But a neat finish from Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku's strike ensured that it was Thomas Tuchel's side who progressed to the quarter-finals and dodged a cup upset.

Despite the narrow nature of the victory, Tuchel said he was happy with the performance and insisted that ultimately the Blues deserved to win.

"We did very well I think. We conceded straight away but had big chances to not only equaliser but to go ahead," he told his post-match press conference.

"Then we concede another one and in the second half we stepped up, pushed, were relentless, never impatient, and we deserved to win.

"We didn't over-expect from us and we played a very humble match I think, very seriously."

But talismanic centre-back Antonio Rudiger was not so generous in his review of the game.

Posting on Instagram after the game, the German made it clear that levels will need to improve in the coming weeks if the club are to enjoy success this season.

Writing alongside a photograph of himself in action at Kenilworth Road, he said: "We definitely need to improve for the next games ... Anyways off to the next round - we mooove!!"
