Antonio Conte has had a huge impact on Tottenham since he took the reigns, guiding the side to an unlikely top-four finish last season. It saw the Lilywhites return to the Champions League and after further investment in the playing squad, they are well-placed for back-to-back European finishes.
The presence of the Italian on the sideline cannot be understated either, often jumping around and instructing his players throughout games. However, a difficult year or so off the pitch was only made tougher as it was revealed that Conte needed emergency surgery back in Italy.
The 53-year-old returned for one game before he was advised to take some time off to rest up for his own health. It appears as though he could be back and coaching again before too soon, so with that said, here's the latest on Conte and his return to Tottenham.

Conte return date
Stellini has claimed that Conte's return to action could be as soon as this week following Spurs' huge win over Chelsea on Sunday. Speaking after the game, Stellini said: "Our desire was this to win, play a great game and to fight for every ball and we are happy for the fans, the club and of course for us and Antonio who is still at home. My expectation is that Antonio [Conte] will be back this week."
Tottenham face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Wednesday (March 1) in the FA Cup fifth round before they travel to the Midlands to face Wolves on Saturday (March 5.).
Stellini impact
Assistant coach Cristian Stellini has taken charge of the side in the absence of Conte and results have gone in his favour since then. The side remain unbeaten when the coach has taken charge, beating Marseille in the Champions League earlier this season as well as earning victories over West Ham and Chelsea.
Conte surgery explained
Tottenham manager Antonio Conte underwent surgery in early February to remove his gallbladder, with Spurs announcing that surgery went well after severe abdominal pain. A statement from the club reads: "Following a routine post-operation check in Italy yesterday, Antonio Conte will remain at his family home to recover from his recent surgery.
“Health is the most important consideration and everyone at the club wishes him well. Cristian Stellini will assume first-team duties."
