Antonio Conte may have already revealed why he won't leave Tottenham to join PSG

Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte is reportedly keen to join Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The veteran coach replaced Nuno Espirito Santo in Spurs' managerial hot seat just over five months ago, and whilst the north Londoners have undoubtedly improved, they have still struggled for consistency in recent times. Sitting two points behind fourth-placed Arsenal after back-to-back lethargic displays against Brighton and Brentford.

Now, French outlet Le Parisien have claimed that Conte has offered himself to PSG on an initial 2-year deal, with the Parisians' current manager Mauricio Pochettino reportedly set to leave the Parc des Princes at the end of the current campaign.

However, Conte's previous comments on the attitude he demands in his players may hint that leaving N17 for PSG doesn't make much sense for the Italian. Speaking to Sky Sports back in 2016 about his demands in players, the former Chelsea boss said: "I always talk about education and respect.

"I give this, but I demand this - "If someone hasn't got a good attitude during the training session or the good behaviour, in different circumstances, then I would prefer to kill him. If a manager closes his eyes and does not want to see the bad situation, he will lose the changing room."

PSG frontmen Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar, have all been criticised for their poor work ethic at times this season, something Conte may find too frustrating if he was to manage the talented trio. "I just don't believe teams can carry anybody now," Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher told CBS Sports when discussing the three forwards' poor work ethic earlier this season.

"Let's say the four teams who I think one of them will win the Champions League – Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea or Bayern Munich – they do not carry one passenger in the team. They [PSG] are carrying three, and they've got absolutely no chance of winning the Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain, absolutely no chance."
