Antonio Conte has claimed that players must be replaced if they want to leave Tottenham in search of first-team football. A busy summer for the club so far with plenty of incomings and outgoings, there could still be a bit more movement at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the final two weeks of the transfer window.
Harry Winks and Sergio Reguilon are not part of the head coach's plans and will be hoping to secure moves, while question marks surround what will happen with Japhet Tanganga and Bryan Gil. Asked in his pre-match press conference about the possibility of a couple more players coming in at Tottenham, the 53-year-old delivered his verdict.

"We're okay. But if someone goes away, for sure another player has to come," admitted Conte. "Especially if some players want to go to play regularly. It's difficult to keep them here.
"But at the same time, it has to be very clear that if a player wants to go play, I have to replace this player. This is very important. We need to have a squad capable to face a lot of games until November. This is very important for me."
One player who has signed on at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the past few days is Destiny Udogie, with the player returning to Udinese on a season-long loan deal. Certainly one for the future, Conte has had his say on the Italy U21 international.
"You said it well, he's a player for the future. I think he is a good prospect for Tottenham because we are talking about a young player," he said. "For sure this player needs to develop like Spence and in my opinion a good investment for the club. Now he continues to play in this season with Udinese and in this way he has the possibility to play regularly.
"When you are young you need to play to improve your experience. For sure we are talking about a good prospect, but we are talking about a player for the future not for the present. He has to develop and to grow with a group of players with more experience."
