Antonio Conte has 13 Tottenham transfers that Fabio Paratici must finalise before deadline day

The final month of the transfer market is almost upon us with Monday marking the start of August. Usually doing their business right at the end of the window in years gone by, Tottenham have been very busy in the market so far having signed six new players.

Not all clubs have moved as quickly as Spurs, meaning the final few weeks of the summer window should, as ever, be rather hectic in the Premier League. But what exactly does Fabio Paratici still need to do in the transfer market for Antonio Conte? football.london takes a look.

Incomings

New centre-back

Tottenham have strengthened at centre-back following Clement Lenglet's arrival but that may not be the last of their business in the position. As Conte does like to have two players for each role, a lot may depend on what happens with Joe Rodon and Japhet Tanganga as the duo have been linked with moves away.

New attacking midfielder

Another attacking option would perhaps be beneficial as one injury or a suspension could leave them rather light on the bench. Spurs have been tipped to sign an attacking midfielder this summer, with Roma's Nicolo Zaniolo someone who can operate in the role and also the front three.

There is currently no position for an attacking midfielder in Conte's system but having an option there would allow him to switch to 3-5-2 if required.

Outgoings

Sergio Reguilon

The writing is on the wall for Reguilon after his omission from the Tottenham squad for the South Korea tour and friendly at Rangers. Linked with a return to Spain, the Lilywhites should still be able to recoup a decent fee for the ex-Real Madrid man.

Harry Winks

Winks is another who has no place in Conte's plans after his absence from Tottenham's pre-season friendlies so far. Heavily linked with Everton last month, talk of a switch to Goodison Park appears to have completely died down.

Bryan Gil

The winger has been given his opportunity in pre-season and now it is down to Paratici and Conte to decide on what comes next for the player. Gil clearly has all the attributes to be a top player, meaning another loan move would benefit Spurs rather than cashing in on him if he isn't in their thoughts for 2022/23.

Emerson Royal

Conte's plans for the right wing-back berth should become clearer over the next week now that Djed Spence has arrived at the club. The transfer in turn looks set to push one of Emerson or Matt Doherty towards the exit door, with the former perhaps the player most likely to depart given he isn't a natural wing-back and he will bring in more money.

Giovani Lo Celso

Tottenham shouldn't be short on options for Lo Celso due to his starting spot in the Argentina XI. Excellent on loan at Villarreal last season, the Yellow Submarines will need to stump up the money Spurs want if they would like him to return for the new campaign.

Joe Rodon

Rodon has not made the trip to Israel for Tottenham's friendly against Roma as he sorts out a loan move to French side Rennes. The centre-back will now get the chance to feature regularly ahead of the 2022 World Cup after playing a bit-part role in N17.

Japhet Tanganga

Tanganga really would benefit from a consistent run of games after injury once again restricted his playing time last campaign. AC Milan have been heavily tipped to sign him this summer and that leaves Spurs with a big decision to make over the academy graduate.

Tanguy Ndombele

Clubs aren't going to be queueing up to sign Ndombele on a permanent basis after such an underwhelming three seasons in the capital. As it will be incredibly hard to shift him permanently unless they take a huge hit on what they paid for him, a loan deal may be best for all parties to ensure he gets regular playing time elsewhere.

Pape Matar Sarr

Tottenham have a call to make over Sarr as he simply isn't going to get the minutes he wants with four quality options ahead of him in midfield. Either Conte keeps him as backup and he gets that experience of training day in, day out with some top players or he leaves on loan to play regularly and help his development.

Alfie Devine

Having seen Dane Scarlett head out on loan to Portsmouth, Devine could be set to follow in his footsteps with a loan move of his own after already making a big impression in N17. Tottenham certainly won't want to halt his progress and football.london reported in May that the ex-Wigan man is keen on going out on loan and getting that experience.

Harvey White

White's game will have come on an awful lot over the past year after working under Conte but he does require that experience of playing in a first-team environment. A loan move would certainly be beneficial but it may come down to whether Spurs need to keep the youngster as a fifth midfield option to help out with the homegrown numbers.
